Gena Tuso was born and raised in Southern California. With its strong surf and skateboard culture, her locale helped shape her aesthetic vision from a very young age. A mix of 'street' with chic, timeless pieces are what Gena thrives on. The fact that the pieces come from different times and different 'scenes' creates an alchemy; an amalgam of different experiences reflective of her personality.
Starting her professional career in San Francisco during the dot com boom, Gena tired of her computer industry job and moved to New York City to open Diesel's Union Square store, where she oversaw window displays and also shopped for Diesel's best clients. The mix of creativity and real world solutions for helping women find their own style excited her, and Gena found herself back in Southern California settling in Echo Park, where she became part of a burgeoning creative community of designers, artists, and like minded stylists.
It is Gena's particular aesthetic that has made her a favorite of both high-fashion photographers and streetwear companies. She has worked with publications such as Nylon, V, Paper, Flaunt, Vanity Fair, Hamptons, Elle and Esquire. Her advertising clients include Puma, Oakley, Etnies, Graham & Spencer, C&C, Tmobile, AT&T, Toyota, and Honda. Celebrity clients include, Alicia Silverstone, Kristen Stewart, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Felicity Huffman, Kate Mara, Kathryn Morris, Neve Campbell, and Regina Spektor.
Gena currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with her husband and her dog, Hanz.
